Why traditional translation costs are killing your events
Anyone who's organized a multilingual event knows the math: the cost of human interpretation turns "letting the audience understand" into a luxury most events can't afford.
Professional simultaneous interpreters charge a 2-hour minimum, before equipment or prep time.
Three languages means three interpreters. Triple the cost, plus coordination overhead.
Interpreter booth, wireless receivers, mics, mixer. Basic gear alone runs into thousands.
Good interpreters book out weeks ahead. Last-minute options are limited and quality varies.
Receiver count limits who can listen. Over 100 attendees and you pay another tier.
Interpretation is ephemeral. No transcript, no replay, no shareable artifact for absent stakeholders.
Build a service around your language expertise.
As an individual translator or a translation company, you can offer live caption translation alongside your existing services. Prepare client terminology, translate approved speeches, rehearse the programme, and operate the captions during the event. Set your own fee for the work you deliver.
AI live translation in six steps.
Choose speaker and audience languages. Enter hotwords and preferred translations, or import event material to draft them. Review and save before going live.
Have a prepared speech? Fill in the Script Mode template with the script and checked translations, then upload it. Unscripted events can use live AI translation without a script.
Choose your background and caption size. Connect the audio, then test names, specialist terms, and scripted passages on the actual venue setup.
One ordinary mic is enough. 14 speaker languages including Chinese, English, Japanese, Spanish, French. Switch languages mid-event when speakers change.
Live speech becomes multilingual captions, guided by your event vocabulary. In Script Mode, confidently matched lines use saved wording; unscripted speech uses live AI translation.
Audience scans a QR code, picks their language. They read on their phone, tablet, or the main screen. After the event, one click generates an AI-formatted meeting summary.
iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows — one browser, done
Runs entirely in the browser. Audience, operator, and speaker install nothing. Equally smooth on iOS Safari, Android Chrome, macOS, and Windows.
Scan a QR code, pick a language. Captions scroll on the audience's own phone. Adjustable font size. No app required.
Run the whole event from an iPad. Upload your PPT for auto-glossary extraction. One-click start. Switch source language live.
Show up to two language bands on the room’s main screen. Connect a projector or TV, add your event background, and adjust caption size and position.
Accuracy starts with your event’s words.
Enter or import the names, acronyms, and specialist terms the speaker will use. Help the system recognise unfamiliar words before they are translated.
Add your preferred translations and event context. Set language-specific wording for key terms.
For prepared speeches, use translations you have already checked. Lingua Live follows the speaker and displays the saved wording when it confidently matches a script line.
Add an event background image. Adjust caption size, position, and contrast, and choose up to two languages for the room display.
Select the event’s speaker languages and switch the source language as speakers change.
Generate AI meeting notes from the event, review the content, and export them for participants or your client.
Have reference material? Import Word documents, PowerPoint slides, spreadsheets, or text files to draft hotwords and a glossary. Review and save the suggestions. Script Mode uses a separate completed .xlsx or .csv template.
You approve the words. Your audience reads them live.
For keynote speeches, ceremonies, and prepared announcements, the translation can be checked before anyone takes the stage. Script Mode uses the speaker’s voice to find their place in your script, then displays the saved wording for a confidently matched line.
Prepare the wording
Download the template and add your script with its reviewed translations, one caption line per row. Upload the completed .xlsx or .csv file and enable Script Mode.
Follow the speaker
During the event, Lingua Live listens and matches the speech to your prepared lines. A confident match uses the text you saved, rather than generating a new translation for that filled language.
Handle unscripted moments
If the speaker adds a comment or a match is uncertain, live AI translation takes over. Prepared wording resumes when the speech confidently matches the script again.

Prepared English line
Today we launch Project Aurora, our new community programme.
Chinese wording you approved
今天,我們正式推出全新社區項目「曙光計劃」。
When this line is confidently matched, the saved Chinese wording appears in the audience captions. Your chosen name,「曙光計劃」, stays as approved.
A spontaneous thank-you or audience question?
That passage uses live AI translation, guided by your glossary. It is not presented as an approved script translation.
The template requires Chinese and English text on every row. Add prepared translations for other configured languages where needed; blank optional language cells use live translation. Clear audio and rehearsal still matter: script matching and live AI output can contain errors.
